Exploring Phenomenology: A Guide to the Field and Its Literature (2nd ed.)

 Aimed at the general reader, this guide provides an introduction to the history and development of phenomenology; it outlines its current status; and it provides annotated bibliographies following each chapter with an update at the end presenting the literature published since the first edition in 1974. Part I, The Origins of Phenomenology, consists of three chapters: General Themes of Phenomenology, Husserl and the Phenomenological Method, and Further Development of the Phenomenological Method. Part 2, Further Expansion of Phenomenology, consists of the following four chapters: Existential Phenomenology, Traditional Problems Phenomenologically Treated, Phenomenology Applied to Other Disciplines, and The Ongoing Tasks of Phenomenology. There are two appendixes: Bibliographies on Individual Philosophers (not annotated) and Supplement to the Second Edition.
