Advances in Parapsychological Research 5

Krippner, Stanley (Ed.)

This volume is dedicated to J.A. Greenwood and T.N.E. Greville, and contains a tribute outlining their contributions to parapsychology by Stanley Krippner and Patrick Scott. In his Introduction, Truzzi documents evidence for a transformation taking place in the relationship between parapsychology and the broader scientific community as regards changes in definitions and roles, theoretical changes, changes in evidence, and in the emergence of peer dialogue. The reviews included in this volume consist of "Psychokinesis: Recent Studies and a Possible Paradigm Shift" by Gertrude R. Schmeidler, "Ganzfeld and Hypnotic-Induction Procedures in ESP Research: Toward Understanding Their Success" by Rex G. Stanford, "Theoretical Parapsychology" by Douglas M. Stokes, "Criticism in Experimental Parapsychology, 1975-1985" by Irvin L. Child, and "A Select Bibliography of Books on Parapsychology, 1982-1985" by Rhea A. White. The references for all chapters are placed in the Reference List at the end of the book.
