Miracle Mongers and Their Methods: A Complete Exposé

Houdini, Harry

Houdini's aim in this book is to present "the natural explanation of feats that to the ignorant have seemed supernatural." It is a history of magicians famous in their day. He describes their feats and how they were accomplished. Emphasis is on fire-eating and heat resistance, sword swallowing, stone eating, snake immunity, and persons with extraordinary strength.
