Channeling: A Bibliographic Exploration

Bjorling, Joel

This is a guide to channeling and channeled materials in English. Channeling is defined as "any message which is presumably received or conveyed from transcendental entities" (p. xi), including messages received by automatic writing, direct voice, or telepathy. There are five chapters, each with introductory text by the author followed by the bibliographic citations arranged alphabetically under various subheadings. The chapter titles are "Channeling: A Historical Approach," "Predecessors of Modern Channelers," "The 'I Am' Movement," "UFO Contactee Channeling," and "Contemporary Channeling." The introductions have their own list of references. A directory of mediumship/channeling groups and a list of criticisms are appended.
