The Psychology of Déjà Vu: Have I Been Here Before?

Neppe, Vernon M.

Based on the author's dissertation research, this is the first book-length treatment of déjà vu. There are chapters on the concept and terminology of déjà vu, and the qualitative aspects of the déjà vu experience. The author also reports on his surveys of déjà vu in schizophrenics, temporal lobe epilepsy, and normal subjects. Neppe concludes that there are different kinds of déjà vu. The questionnaires used in his research are presented in appendices, and there is a glossary and a lengthy bibliography.
