Psychology and the Occult

Jung, C.G.

This is a collection of nine of Jung's writings on the occult, including spiritualism and parapsychology. It performs a useful service, considering the fact that otherwise they would have to be extracted from the 19 volumes of his collected works, three volumes of his letters, or from reviews in periodicals or introductions to books. Included are Jung's dissertation on the psychology of automatism and mediumship, "On Spiritualistic Phenomena," "The Psychological Foundations of Belief in Spirits," "The Soul and Death," "Psychology and Spiritualism," "On Spooks: Heresy or Truth?," his Foreword to Jaffe's Apparitions and Precognition, and "The Future of Parapsychology." The bibliography is a general one supplementing the footnotes in the text.
Publisher Information:Princeton, NJ: Princeton University Press, 1977. (Trans. By R. F. C. Hull). 167p. Bibliographical footnotes; Bibliography: 159-167; 4 figures
