Laura Jean Spagnolo

Assistant to the Director, Exceptional Human Experience Network
Editor, Synchronicity Connection feature of EHE News

I am retired after a career of 33 years in New York State as an English teacher, guidance counselor, director of guidance, and high school principal. I obtained a Master's degree in Guidance and Counseling from St. John's University (Jamaica, NY) in 1961 and my administrative certification from New York State in 1971.

I have served on Middle States Evaluation Committees and on the New York State Education Commissioner’s Committee for Project Equity and Excellence in Educational Administration (1984-1986). I was made an Honorary Member of Phi Delta Kappa in 1983 and of the National Honor Society in 1986, and was a Jenkins Award Winner in 1981 from the New York State Parent Teacher’s Association.

I have known Rhea White since our days at Penn State. I have always tried to help her in any way I could. As Assistant to the Director of the EHE Network, I do community outreach, collection development, and provide editorial assistance. I enjoy weeding, reading, and logic puzzles.
