First prize went to Deirde Quiery for an essay on her relationship with her mother. Second place went to Rebecca Mandeville for her essay on Sacred Sound. "The Plant Path" was third, by Jacob Star (pseudonym). The fourth-prize essay was "Dreamlike Days and Lucid Nights: How I Was Raised by Spirits", by Carl J. Schroeder.
